Testimonials
“Having Dr. Keel by my side at a meeting with my daughter’s teachers gave me confidence that I had never had before. Dr. Keel knew the questions to ask to get my child the help that she needed. She is very smart, compassionate, and she understands everyone's side of the issue: from the teacher - having been one herself - to the parent and child. She can help you through everything from beginning to end and make the whole process less stressful.”
“Since Dr. Keel began working with my son three years ago, his academic performance has improved by leaps and bounds. Her approach is tailor-made for each person. She’s creative, too – if one approach isn’t working, she’ll quickly find one that will.”
“Dr. Keel is an advocate for students. She has the innate ability to work with struggling students and parents. She helps them to set achievable and measurable goals for themselves and checks in with them often for accountability.”
What is an Educational Consultant?
"Educational consultants are professionals who assist students and families with educational decision making," as stated by the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) directory.
How can an Educational Consultant help?
A consultant has experience and knowledge with the area they are providing the service. They can provide suggestions and knowledge in an objective manner when the decision making is stressful and often confusing. Consultants have extensive knowledge and experience in the area of their expertise;therefore can often promote plans and strategies for success.
What services are available?
We aim to strengthen the parent’s advocacy skills, educate in the area of the disability, and in the knowledge of their student’s rights, promoting them to be more effective and informed team members. Knowledgeable parents can better assist their children in making rational decisions about their Individualized Education Plans or 504 Accommodation Plan.
If your child is struggling in school and you feel they need Special Education services or an updated plan, then you could benefit from a Special Education Consultant/ Parent Advocate.
